SUSTAINABLE FLORAL DESIGN

A Kenzan/Flower Frog/Pin Frog is a floral mechanic which is used to hold flower stems in place, without the use of floral foam.

Kenzans typically consist of a heavy base with metal pins which hold the stems of an arrangement within a vase or vessel.

Make a sustainable choice by using a Kenzan in lieu of floral foam.

HOW TO USE A KENZAN

SECURE KENZAN TO BASE

All our Kenzans (except 23mm) come with a removable non-slip rubber case.

Place the Kenzan in a shallow or open vase or vessel.

For extra security, the Kenzan can be secured to the base of the vessel using floral tack or adhesive.

ADD WATER TO VESSEL

Submerge the Kenzan in water to ensure all cut stems are submerged in water.

Top off the vase or vessel with clean water frequently.

The Kenzan will dull with use. This does not effect the performance of the tool.

ARRANGE FLORAL MATERIALS

Place stems directly in the Kenzan, ensuring the end is secured into the pins.

For thin stems, insert into a thicker, hollow stem then place in the Kenzan.

For extra support, apply a cage of chicken wire on top of the Kenzan to hold the weight of the stems and secure to the vessel using pot tape.
